US Superbike rumors are running at fever-pitch with the news that Kawasaki's Roger Lee Hayden will leave Team Green for a Suzuki Superbike ride in 2006. Rumors have Hayden replacing Aaron Yates on the Suzuki team.
If it all comes to fruition, US Suzuki VP Mel Harris will undoubtedly be smiling big. You see, there was a time when young Nick Hayden was a Suzuki rider and Suzuki wanted to sign the youngster to a very long-term contract but lost out to Honda. Honda-mounted, Hayden later went on to win the 600 and Superbike titles, and the Daytona 200 here in the US, and is now a factory Honda MotoGP star.
Assuredly, Suzuki would like to get young Roger signed to a long-term contract ...
