Jamie Hacking

I tried to step it up and get it into the 1:23s and ride it a bit more aggressively but the bike won't let me do it. It was a little frustrating. But I guess it's not too bad for an old 37-year old rider to put the Kawasaki on the front row. Old tapioca pudding over here (Spies) did pretty good for just coming out of the hospital, I mean that's pretty incredible. I guess the AMA Superbike series ain't too bad after all.

Neil Hodgson

Qualifying went okay actually. I've been doing good times all weekend, actually. We had a good test here and got a good setting on the bike. I normally screw up qualifying and manage to squeeze myself onto the second row so this is the first time I've been on the front row all year.

Mat Mladin:

It was okay. We just concentrated on some race stuff. Seen the miraculous recovery of the boy without an appendix. Pretty good I'd hate to see what he could do with an appendix.

Spies:

We went out on yesterday's tires and set up and tried to work on things and got going okay. We threw a softer race tire on at the end and it took me a couple of laps to get rolling but we did in the end and got the pole. I'm hoping for a good race today.

Q Are you feeling any better today, Ben?

A. Every day is a whole lot better. The whole appendix thing I just didn't want to go on a diet and lose weight. I just wanted to get a whole lot of publicity and attention so that's the reason for it.
