We are currently under a red flag situation at Mid-Ohio after a large crash on lap eight. Mat Mladin was leading the race when the red flag was thrown.

Just before the red flag it appeared as if the engine in Neil Hodgson's Honda failed and dropped oil on the track. At least one rider crashed in the oil and exploded into the straw bales lining the track. Then the red flag came out.

One rider was airlifted out and we are currently waiting for a replacement helicopter before we can resume the remaining seventeen laps of today's Superbike race.
