2009 Kawasaki ZX-6R Breaks Cover by jim mcdermott

Soup is live at the annual Kawasaki dealer meeting, this year in
Dallas, Texas, where we just got out of the new products
presentation. As expected, Kawi' introduced a heavily revised Ninja
ZX-6R weighing 22 pounds less than the outgoing model. Improvement
include sharpened suspension, improved power output and delivery,
tweaked ergos, a ZX-10R derived swingarm, new instruments, low slung
exhaust, and a complete cosmetic makeover. The new 6R looks a lot
like a mini-10R, very cool compared to the 07-08 model. The bike will
be available in shades of blue, black, and green, but there is also a
Monster Energy Special edition livery which looks pretty trick.
The Ninja 650R gets a front fairing facelift and minor tweaks, and
the ER-6N, a very cool looking SV-650 competitor previously
unavailable in the US, finally hits these shores. Kawi has also
introduced a 250cc supermoto with an MSRP of $5299.
More news from the 2009 Kawasaki dealer show later.
