Birmingham, Ala. (May 20, 2009) - An official representing the Barber Motorsports Park confirmed today that an incident occurred on track during a private motorcycle event resulting in the death of two individuals.

The two fatalities were a motorcycle rider and an on-track worker; neither of which were employees of Barber Motorsports Park as has previously been reported.
