As is normal at the annual EICMA show (perhaps better known as "the Milan Show") there are no shortage of stories and rumors passing through the turnstiles at one of the biggest motorcycle shows in Europe this week.
One of the more intriguing rumors concerns the reuniting of a true legend of Ducati lore and the bikes that made him famous as a tuner.
To wit: there are very strong rumors at Milan that put Eraldo Ferracci back in the US Superbike fray with Ducati for 2011.
With Ducati putting all their eggs in the Valentino Rossi and MotoGP basket, one wonders where the budget will come from to run a team to Ferracci's previous level of support.
That is the further related intriguing rumor. Stories at Milan have it that John Hopkins would be Ferracci's rider and the team would be sponsored by Monster Energy Drink.
Ferracci has remained a strong Ducati dealer since his split with the Ducati factory ten years ago.
Other rumors have Ferracci working with a team in the DSB class.
