Sources close to 2006 MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden say he is considering an offer on the table to join the World Superbike championship in 2014.
Currently a factory Ducati MotoGP rider, Hayden is in the final year of his latest contract. Knowing this, several World Superbike teams have approached the American regarding his future employment and one has already made him a firm offer.
He is considering the offer and discussing his options.
Undoubtedly, Hayden's first choice would be to stay in MotoGP but at the same time it's doubtful he would ride anything less than a factory bike in MotoGP.
For WSBK, Hayden offers the first real shot for a rider to win both the WSBK and MotoGP world titles.
