These are snapshots taken at the 1990 USGP at Laguna Seca. Here Wayne Rainey and Kevin Schwantz trade barbs on the grid.	Christian Sarron gets ready to launch his Yamaha France YZR500.	By '90 the Cagiva would actually lap Laguna with enough speed and regularity so it wasn't a complete embarrassment.	The '90 grid was pretty slim in terms of bikes, but with Schwantz and Rainey lining up you knew there was going to be a race. There were only ten finishers.

Niall Mackenzie raced a privateer 250 at Laguna in '90 but by the next round he was drafted onto the Suzuki GP team.
