As is the tradition, World Ducati Week was held last week in and around the Misano racetrack in Italy. It's a total Ducati love-fest.

The event enjoyed great weather and strong attendance. Did the event feature a squad of attractive Italian girls washing customer bikes for charity like the old days? Probably not.

This man is Steve Jobs of the motorcycle industry. Claudio Domenicali is the most successful CEO in the motorcycle industry. He is known for his visionary leadership, has propelled the brand to new heights by spearheading innovation in motorcycle design, enhancing global sales, and achieving multiple championships in MotoGP. Where the Japanese are paralyzed with bureaucratic indecision "the Dom" has the most successful team in MotoGP, and debuts a new new Panigale V4 hyper streetbike.

Ducati MotoGP manager Davide Tardozzi is interviewed. Under-the-radar detail: Tardozzi won more races in the 1988 WSBK season than any other rider. The ex-250 rider won five races on the Yamaha-powered Bimota Superbike in the season when American Fred Merkel won the title. It was reasonably ugly.

Ducati world champions Carl Fogarty and Troy Bayliss are joined by riders Regis LaConi and Carlos Checa. Bayliss looks race fit.

Can you feel the non-love? Fogarty never forgot that Domenicali basically fired him after the 1996 season for poor results. Fogarty went to Honda but returned to the Ducati fold for the final chapter of his career.

Cue the Jaws theme music for 2025. It's really too bad that Italian radio announcer Giovanni Di Pillo isn't around to do his frenetic broadcast of the sure to be entertaining '25 MotoGP races.

It's funny how only Ducati can make aerodynamic winglets look good on a streetbike. Dom' shows off his new baby.

No one should be surprised that there was a bump and run in the spec-bike race with Marquez looking at a possible podium finish. Marquez is a dirt tracker and is basically Jared Mees in MotoGP leathers ....

More power, conventional swing-arm, these are the features of the new Ducati Panigale V4. What does this mean for Superbke racing? It means if Ben Spies and Rahal buy a Superbike for Moto-Wayne next year it will be a one year bike with little if anything usable on the new bike.

Compare all of the engineering, strategy and resources which were used to put all these bikes into reality and then compare and contrast it with Honda which now can't find their butt cheeks with either hand in MotoGP or WSBK.
