MotoGP race Czar Carmelo Ezpeleta's Replacement? American Chuck Aksland?
Liberty Media seems to be moving forward like EU and USA regulators are going to allow the company that currently owns F1 to acquire most of Dorna meaning they would control both MotoGP and WSBK.

If the deal is okayed—still a giant IF—then it seems as if most of the extended Ezpeleta family will take their leave of this motorcycle race business and retire as conquering victors. Who will replace MotoGP race czar Carmelo Ezpeleta?

Reports from Europe say that a man with his name at the top of that list is former Team Roberts MotoGP team manager and current MotoAmerica COO Chuck Aksland. Liberty Media has suggested that they want the MotoGP series to become "more American" in its presentation and appeal, with an increased focus on storytelling, fan engagement, and expanding the sport’s footprint in the United States. Aksland’s deep ties to American racing, his international experience, and his reputation as a savvy organizer make him a strong candidate to help bridge the cultural and promotional gap between MotoGP and the U.S. market.
