In 2025 it's not enough just to be a destination racetrack that is used for both two and four-wheeled world championship rounds. CotA is building a giant amusement park on-site as well, and is a concert promoter as well.

69 tribute flags were a common sight at Austin MotoGP.

Jack Miller's resurgence in 2025 continues. Arguably he is the strongest Yamaha rider even though he is on the B-team, Pramac.

Dorna is prepping for an eventual takeover by Liberty Media which promises to "Americanize" the MotoGP series. Multiple interviews were conducted at CotA where American participation in the championship was featured. Here, three-time world champion Freddie Spencer (who looks 10 years younger after leaving his FIM job) talks to the camera.

Limited visibility was the key phrase of the weekend at CotA. Here the camera chopper negotiates the mist.

The 2006 KR211 MotoGP bike was on display at CotA, thanks to the Barber Museum. It was started, briefly, on Sunday morning. It was glorious to hear.

The scene behind the Ducati garages was packed with fans most of the weekend. Marc was mobbed anytime he came out.

The reality is that Pedro Acosta's rookie 2024 season did not result in a win. Now he is facing 2025 on a very noncompetitive and beleaguered factory KTM. Of course he is going to win races and maybe the championship one day in the future; but these two seasons of mistakes and win drought will have a gigantic impact on his number of GP wins. It's enough to make a guy zone out on his phone.

The start of the MotoGP race was a melee, with Marc bolting from the grid like a guy about to be served papers by his ex-wife. The scene of numerous riders running down the pitlane in full dress to get their "dry" bikes or set up will not soon be forgotten.

It was all going to (Marc's) plan in the race until he drifted onto the obviously still damp painted surface on the side of the track and crashed out of an easy and well-calculated win. It was arguably the dumbest riding mistake of Marc's career.

Like them or not this is what a Grand Prix motorcycle looks like in 2025. You can't argue with the performance.

After "Marc Gotta Marc" this was the podium. The nearly all Italian factory team have been gracious yet restrained throughout Marquez's numerous wins but celebrated Francesco Bagnaia's CotA win with unrestrained dancing, champagne and hooting. This gives a very clear understanding of the inter-team politics that exist on the factory Ducati team.
