I seem to recall that there was some kind of scene sort of like the one in Jaws where the two protagonists compare scars, only this was a few motorcycle racers comparing compartment syndrome wounds and missing pinky fingers.

Racer Larry Pegram dropped his pants and shut everyone up by displaying his huge, broken-femur scar and the current bruise he was nursing at the moment.
