Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi has been suspended from Sunday's Brno Grand Prix for striking a corner worker.

Bezzecchi crashed out of the Brno Sprint race. Reportedly, a team of corner workers were trying to extract his factory Aprilia from the gravel when one of them accidentally pinned the throttle on the still-running motorcycle as it lay on its side.

Hearing his Aprilia engine screaming away in the gravel, Bezzecchi hurried over to the scene. Knowing that an internal-combustion engine is unlikely to remain healthy for long in such circumstances, he cuffed the corner worker who had inadvertently pinned the throttle open.

It's 2026, and the decades-long practice of adrenaline-soaked riders losing their tempers on unpaid volunteers is no longer tolerated. Aaron Yates kicking a corner worker at Daytona still sits atop the all-time lashing-out rankings, with Raymond Roche's 1989 Brainerd performance—crashing in Turn 9 and then kicking a female corner worker in the groin—not far behind.
