Ski Story #5
A guy could probably write a book on "Ski at Elkhart" stories

One incident that I was there for was the Sunday night at Siebkin’s when Tom Kipp, Ski and my little sister Carole decided to go swimming in the moonlight after the bar closed. The water of Elkhart Lake was so clear that year you could see ten feet down.

Swimming is another on the long list of things I really do not enjoy, so I was spectating when Ski did a heroic Olympic high dive into the clear Wisconsin water, which looked ten feet deep but was, in reality, only two feet deep. Ski came back up, his head bleeding and covered in thick moss. He looked like he'd lost a fight with a swamp monster.

We almost died laughing.
