A 1976 TR750, Sheene raced the three cylinder bike all over the world in the mid-1970s. Primarily he raced it in F750 races--the rebel series, WSBK if you will--of the 1970s.

Clutch handle side. This TR is set up to shift on either side of the bike. Currently it is set up to shift on the right.

Exhaust plumbing on the TRs was interesting. For some purists, the sound from a two-stroke triple is the be all and end all. Sirens calling you in to perform endless sessions of cylinder honing.

Lucky duck. Sheene raced with number seven nearly his entire career. And with a Gary Nixon t-shirt under his leathers. image by dean adams

Mounted behind the Sheene TR at Red Rock is correspondence from Sheene's mechanic about that particular bike.

The Texaco Herron Suzuki paint scheme--one of the best looking bikes ever. A GSX-R750 painted this way drew crowds at Laguna Seca a few years ago. image by dean adams
